J. Cook head knives have evolved throughout the years with much help from award winning, world famous saddle-makers. The blades are ground from back to edge with no bevel--just like a straight razor. The bolster on the knife sets the correct angle for stropping. Jeff's blades cannot oxidize, which is ordinarily a major factor in edge loss. The blades come razor sharp, and with proper stropping and buffing, will hold their edge for years to come.

Each one of Jeff Cook's knives are made by hand in his shop. While he ordinarily uses reclaimed and water stabilized rosewood or zircote for handles, exotic woods and spacers are available. Jeff specializes in knives for a specific use and for specific users. Most of his knives are custom orders, but often times he'll have a few 3-inch head knives, drop points and swivel knife blades in stock and available.

The knives shown on this page are examples of some of the most popular.
Please look them over, and then feel free to contact Jeff if you have any questions or requests.
