"Most of my life has been spent
with a knife in my hand. Working during high school and college in restaurants, in chef school at the Culinary
Institute of America, in resort hotels, and in my own restaurants. I love cooking and still teach a few classes,
but making great knives has become my culinary passion." -- Jeff Cook

Jeff makes knives for
people that love to use a knife that's perfectly balanced, has extraordinary performance,
a pleasing aesthetics, and cannot stain or rust. The dendritic cobalt blades are cast at a nearby foundry,
and then each knife is built by hand in Jeff's shop.

"I like to make a knife
that suits the user--the knife that you've always wanted.
From paring to slicing, western or Asian style, weight center balanced, forward balanced or rear balanced,
depending on your grip and the way you like a knife to feel."

The cast cobalt blade is polished until it brings out the grain pattern of the metal.
Looking like frost on glass, each blade has its own unique pattern. Handles are determined somewhat
by the weight of the blade, in order to keep the balance. Jeff uses reclaimed and sustainable hardwoods for handles,
and canvas or linen micarta. While a brass spacer is standard for each knife, decorative spacer rings are also available,
from tourquoise to mastodon ivory, silver, gold, or mokame.

While the majority of Jeff's knives are made to order, he is also building an inventory of line
knives, mainly for professionals. Using canvas micarta handles in a satin blade finish, and all at affordable prices.

The knives shown on this page
are examples of some of the most popular.
Please look them over, and then feel free to
contact Jeff
if you have any questions or requests.
